PostHeaderIcon who is the customer

I went to breakfast a little late one Sunday at an obviously well visited cafe in NWI.  (Bravo's Cafe) The wait was a little long and with one hostess it made me want to jump in and help.  Just the post-server days attitude I suppose.  Well it was worth it.

No joke, the server (Genesis) walked up and said "Hello friends!"  My jaw dropped.  One jealous that I hadn't thought of it first, and impressed that she did.  She really understood the idea behind clientel being treated as a guest.  It was fantastic.

That's a serious thought to ponder.  Do you REALLY treat your customers as guests in your own home, as friends?

Does their level of comfort really matter to you?

What could you change to make that a reality?
